something smells fishy

Last night I put another one of my little cichlids out to sea. Apparently Erin and Aaron couldn't cut it.

Erin and Aaron were my two yellow and black striped fish that were cohabitating with Gina and Clem my two orange fish... and of course there's ol' Raz the catfish but he doesn't really bother anyone (He's kind of like Eeyore). For some reason in the last few days both Erin and Aaron have been discovered blundering around upside down and unresuscitatable at the bottom of my lovely tank.

Perhaps my gals orange gina and clementine were laying on the ol' arsenic and lace bit a little too thick...

-OR-

The tank may be just a little to close to that window during the day.

We may never know.

Careful, You could be next!

if the weather gets better we should get together

Today was my first tournament as assistant coach.... i am so proud of my freshman girls. they took second place in a tournament that had some pretty tough teams in it. the girls have finally gotten the hang of rotation and they have developed quite the catchy ace cheer with plenty of stomps, claps, and such. don't get me wrong they still have ALOT to work on, but progress is evident.

no noose is good news

i have been working hard at working hard lately... with no real length of ground gained, but none to be missed either. if i could only keep myself from watching law & order svu marathons i think i'd be getting loads more done, or at least i'd know more about the situation between josephine and wes on real world... do they have a 12 step program for people who are addicted to tv? they should. we'll meet tuesdays at 7.00 j/k j/k... seriously that's gilmore girls... what did you think i would tape it or something? yeah, like i know how to work my vcr. fat chance.

Citrus Appeal

My dear friend is leaving in the extremely near future to go to Taiwan for at least a year. Anna, I wish the best of times and I know that you are going to be amazing. You will make a difference to so many people over there.

I'll take a queen size please

This weekend (and by weekend I mean Thursday thru Sunday) I have been afforded the opportunity to hang out with my brother ben and his adorable family (and by adorable I mean gorgeous). My hil-ar-iously handsome brother Adam is here as well... As we all know, or I assume you know that when one is on vacation you are then afforded the chance to smell for at least 2 maybe 3 hours in the morning before taking a shower. At least I know that this has become my routine. Any other day, where I am supposed to do work or my day has some sort of schedule to it, showering is the very first step I take to waking up.

Perhaps (and this is just my brilliance shining thru) the people who invent things should make comfortable beds that transform into showers so that my first transitional step of the morning would be that much easier. The Jetson's didn't even have a creation of that magnitude. they had to stand up before having their clothes removed for them, showering, and then having that machine dress them, brush their teeth, and style their hair. I'm just not sure that I have enough room in my little apartment for a machine of that magnitude. Aren't they supposed to be making things more compact. I think that they should really get on that, maybe the people that make these machines are on vacation. in which case I urge them to take a shower, get some work done, and give me a free trial of their creations. I promise to be honest in my judgements and fair in my keeping of the machine at no extra cost to the company or myself. I'm definitely going to request at least a queen size.

You see this is the kind of stuff that I think about when I'm on vacation, with my brother asking me over and over again to please, please, please take a shower.

yesterday was delicious and tomorrow will be well-tempered

it's been a happenin' weekend. installed yesterday morning, bridal shower (not for me you fools) in the afternoon, and a taste of chicago as a night cap. i was able to hang out with my good friend erin who was in chicago for the weekend... she now lives in new orleans a.k.a. the dirty south.

today i've had a chance to catch up with the blogs of all my good friends that live in far off places which rival each other in awesomely supreme jealousy from lisa who wishes she had the independent wealth to support several trips to these far and away lands in addition to the good taste to stop refering to herself in the third person. glad to hear that you chicks are doing well... (ang does your father-in-law-to-be ship wines to WI?)

and now i'm off to hang out with the oldy but goody speerbrecker. we'll get some grub, check the temperature, and well... the rest is history

The calm before the storm

Today is my first and last day of straight up lounging around that I have had or will have in a long time. I just finished work at CUW this last friday and I finished working at Grapes and Grain on Sunday. So I have officially reached that short interim between jobs. Tomorrow my mother will be driving up from Tennessee with all of my stuff and then Wednesday my mother and I will continue our journey up to Green Bay to move me into my new rocking awesome apartment. Once I get settled it will be time for me to start planning out what it is I think that I'm going to be doing with my students in the classroom, as well as the start of volleyball on the 15th which from what I've just heard goes from about 9:30 in the morning to 9 at nite with the various teams. Plus there will be staff meetings and things of that sort. Busy busy busy is what i'll be, but i am extremely excited to start my first real job in the real world and can't wait to be worn out from over exerting myself (well i can wait, but it's inevitable).
