puzzling pieces

so putting together puzzles is one of those relaxing and mindless activities that I have found that I enjoy from time to time... As of late I have been putting together a 1000 piece puzzle that was one of my favorites from childhood. I have memories of putting it together with some christmas music blaring in the background and it is simply a high quality puzzle with a train, and houses that have different color outlines, a waterfall, some swans, horse drawn carriages, and some pumpkins... i doubt that there are many puzzles out there that rival this one.

Well, come to find as I have neared the finish line for the puzzle that it is missing 3 key pieces (cue: daunting music). I'm seriously disappointed in this puzzle. As much fun as it was to put together now it's come to a discouraging hault. I can only hope that those pieces will be found on the floor of my living room. Which by the way brings up the idea of spare parts for puzzles. I know that it wouldn't work, but I need something to make me feel better about those stinking empty holes. This whole missing pieces thing reminds me of the same problem I've been having with my dryer 'eating' my socks. Do you have any solutions, besides getting a life?

check the box, sometimes there's a number or something and you can call and order "spare" parts. I lost a piece on one of my cool dolphin puzzles and was going to call the company...just haven't gotten around to it yet so I'm not really sure if it works! Don't worry you don't need a life...doing puzzles is good for you!

Hey, puzzles rule and don't equate with losery lifestyles. I went on a holiday and spent half the time skydiving, hiking, horse riding, etc and the other half drinking coffee, listening to music and completing puzzles. Best holiday ever. :)

Plus, I thought they were one of those activities you could do to maintain mental agility. So, see? You're merely fending off mental decay. :)
