giddy-up giddy-out

tonite is the last time that i will sleep at my apartment on the floor... surrounded with what's left of my existence there. my next stop is at my aunt and uncle's house for a few weeks, dog sitting for a few and then, well...

let's just hope that by then i have a job... somewhere.

i can only hope that when i actually grow up i am lucky enough to live in a neighborhood as nice as the one that i have in shorewood. not that i knew any of my neighbors, but it was within walking distance of the lake, and extremely close to blockbuster and the grocery store. what more could i have asked for.

look at me getting all sentimental about my apartment. i swear i'm not going to cry. for long.

somewhere in between

yesterday afternoon i felt like i was in the middle of a rowdy game of bombardment. this whole job situation has been stressing me out... and yesterday was no help.

now i'm not only considering a few different opportunities for being an art teacher, but also a possible chance at being a youth minister. they are all awesome opportunities, but everytime i think that i can start moving toward one thing... the rug slips out from under my feet and i'm back in the middle again without a lead in any direction.

let's just hope that the Lord's mysterious ways don't keep me in limbo too much longer.

old friends and baby penguins

Since the cuw school year has ended I have felt like everyone that i could have been hanging out with is gone... excluding of course erin, but i live with her and most times that hanging out enough.

well my friend anna has been in town now for a little while, and i've invited myself over to hang out a couple of times, and have had a blast, because she is always so much funn.

it's the simple things that i am seriously enjoying.

today i helped to clean their house for a party that they are having and then we went shopping which was delightful because anna is the most unimpressive decision maker, but that just makes her cuter.

anna is in love with a song called 'taylor the latte boy'

have you heard it? it's by kristin chenoweth

it's all yours, so chizzek it out.

oh yeah, and don't forget to look at the preview for March of the Penguins

Lord I love penguins.

Thank God Almighty I'm Free At Last....

Today is my last and final day of student teaching, and it has been a breeze. Granted the students are a little bit insane, but this is the last day that i have to deal with them. Not that i don't like them, but the taste of freedom is in my mouth, and it is quite irresistable on a day like today. Kind of like an ice cream sanmich on a warm summer day.

How do they do that?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Lately while working at CUW i've been trying to moderately entertain and educate myself by watching videos on launchcast.com. Well I came across a video by Bright Eyes called Easy/Lucky/Free.

the video itself is very simple.

a room. a man with marker. a plate glass wall.

during the whole video he writes out the lyrics to the song, but it is done so that the viewer 'me' can read it, which is completely backwards for him. how does that work? is he really super good at writing backwards? (i had a teacher in high school who could read words backwards in a snap)

or is it just another trick of today's video editors?
