vay cay update: does that look like spit to you?

status: good to go

so my brother adam... known not so much for being hilarious as he is for being outrageously funny has been here for the last day and a half. he is definitely a stress reliever. i will be sad to see him go tomorrow.

my vacation has been going well... i think that i've only really thought about school twice and that has only had to do with discussing stage set-up for the spring play with my little brother who is in love with designing things... and the little memos to self that have been reminding me to talk to my father about 403B's (which reminds me, i need to do that)

in a couple of days here i will be traveling to chicago to spend the coming in of the new year with annika... my delightful friend who is visiting for a very short while before heading back to new zealand.

01-01-06 i will be getting up way too early to the tune of a headache and a 3 hour drive to green bay to go to my first packer game ever... which will be awesome...-ly freezing but really good, cuz it might be favre's last game. I'll have to see if i can order up a large farva.

when your day takes a running dive into the nearest abyss

so i started the kiln in my classroom last night all by myself for the first time. and looking at the positive side of things i did not set the school on fire, nor was my kiln run a complete failure, but i did manage to completely obliterate 2 students projects. that really stinks for me, and it really isn't the best way to start your day. i now have to inform those 2 students that their ceramic masterpieces that were going to be gifts for grandma are now in thousands of little pieces floating throughout the kiln. pray for me.

the 17 faces of lisa

recently, i signed up for facebook, because my brother greg kept telling me that i should. it's pretty neat, it's a database and personal webpage that helps you to get in touch with old classmates and friends. it's definitely working because after 3 days i've already gotten in touch with several people that i had lost phone numbers and contact information for.

anyway, today i decided to do a global search based solely on my name (i have so many other things that i should be doing). it came up with 17 hits for 17 girls with the same first and last name as me, and some of them are pretty fine. they all look to be around the same age as well. i think it is interesting because it seems as though i could have grown up down the street from some of these girls and not even known that we had the same name.
